In 2017 Clearpath Finance was approached by Gerard McAdory, successful entrepreneur and owner GM Marketing, a food industry distributor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.


The Challenge

GM Marketing was going through a period of change.

Previously the company had outsourced its distribution and logistics, but in order to introduce new efficiencies, take advantage of new opportunities and allow sustained business growth, the decision was taken to bring the entire operation, including distribution and offices, under one roof.

Motivated by the wide property finance experience within the Clearpath Finance team, Gerard and his colleagues approached and opted to retain Clearpath for a holistic approach to finding a complete property solution, including the process of providing new finance as well as to oversee the property procurement process.


The Clearpath Finance Solution

The Clearpath team, led by Directors Conor Devine MRICS and James Gibbons LLB, possesses a wealth of experience in the property market in Northern Ireland and the UK having spent over ten years in private practice.

Responsible for overseeing the procurement process and also delivering the finance for GM Marketing, Clearpath identified a number of suitable properties within a period of weeks rather than months.

Through open consultation with GM Marketing, an outstanding commercial facility in North Belfast was selected as the number one option.

Within a further four-week period all property terms were agreed and the Clearpath team worked diligently with Gerard to ensure that the funding requirement was met in a timely and affordable manner, enabling the company to complete the purchase.


The Outcome for GM Marketing

In the summer of 2017, GM Marketing moved into its new headquarter facility and GM Marketing continues to go from strength to strength. The new facility comprises over 44000 sq. ft. of warehousing and office accommodation with very generous yard and storage space.
